Modified on Wed, Feb 12 at 9:18 AM

To ensure your passes turn out optimally for production, it's important to use our templates correctly.

Since templates can be exported as PDF, and then manipulated inside of other programs, we recommend using the templates as outlined in the videos below, which will ensure your passes are print-ready, so that your final product shines.

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Open your Photoshop template in Adobe Photoshop.
    1. Do not place the template into existing artwork in Photoshop, otherwise, Photoshop will distort your template to fit the dimensions of your existing artwork, which may skew results.
  2. Ensure your "Layers" Panel is visible. In most cases, it will display on the right-hand side, with this symbol.
    1. If you do not see the layers panel here, click, Window > Layers
  3. Design all artwork in the layers under the template layer.
    1. Make sure all background artwork extends to and touches the red, bleed line, and beyond, if applicable.
    2. Make sure all critical text and logo graphics remain within the green, art safe zone.
    3. We will cut at the blue line.
      1. Please note, some slight shifting from the blue line as shown on screen is normal and expected. It is for this reason we have the red, bleed line, in order to ensure your passes never contain white, unprinted material on the edges.
  4. Once your design is complete, turn off the template layer by clicking the eyeball next to the template layer text.
  5. Click, File > Save As > Photoshop PDF
    1. IMPORTANT: DO NOT click, "File" > "Export" on artwork. Doing so will reformat the perceived resolution of the document, leading our uploader to interpret the imagery as low-resolution.
  6. Your artwork is ready for upload.
